Description: Introduces unique plant and animal communities found within the southern Oregon region. Explores the interdependence on minerals, climate, and other natural systems. The growth and development of human populations in relation to natural systems and how humans have made an impact on the natural ecosystems will be highlighted. Students provide their own transportation to off-campus field trips during which a moderate amount of walking on rough ground is necessary.
